And that's it for 2011 ! Another great, fun filled year for my musical career !?!?!?! 90 shows under my belt. The Steel Toe Boots were nominated for two BCCMA awards this year. The Outlaw family welcomed a new member (congrats to Eli & Niko !!!), with another new member on the way in 2012 (congrats to Beth & Rob !!!) and J.A.M. (congrats to Andrew & Shannon on their wedding this past year !!!) just kept doing what we do. All very cool, to say the least !!!
2012 is already shaping up to be a very busy year too. So, hold onto your hats ... cause here we go !!!!July 08, 2012
OK, so I'm half way through 2012 ... I have 48 shows under my belt already and another 39 confirmed bookings over the balance of the year. Holy crap !!!! It's been a really fun time and I wouldn't change any of it for anything.
As the second half of 2012 begins, The Outlaws are in transition. Rob has stepped away from the band for his new family and career. Moving forward, into 2013; Mark, Elli and I have decided to blend J.A.M. and The Outlaws together and we'll be introducing Andrew Newton on drums and I'll take the reins on guitar. It is the least disruptive way to keep both bands alive and kicking.
The Steel Toe Boots are still rolling along as strong as ever and we're looking forward to a ton of good time in the coming months. Hopefully, we'll fill the 2nd guitar player's spot with a regular member and see which way the band moves from there. All good things to those who wait, as they say !

And that's it for 2012 ! Another great, fun filled year for my musical career !?!?!?! 87 shows under my belt for this year. The Steel Toe Boots were nominated for two more BCCMA awards this year. The Outlaws successfully transitioned into our new format, with Andrew Newton on drums and me taking over on lead guitar. The cool thing here is that while there are lots of guys who play in more than one band (myself included, obviously), I think I'm the only one who plays a completely different instrument in two bands ?!?!?!
2013 is going to realize a few more changes. A new formation of The Steel Toe Boots is taking shape in the form of a band called Runaway Lane and we're welcoming Jay David into the fold on guitar, pedal steel and keys. The Boots aren't going anywhere, we're just making some adjustments.
Here comes 2013 ... 14 weeks booked on my schedule already and I'm sure there will be plenty more to follow !
